Glazed Sports Team Logos - Plates

Class of 2022
As someone who had never done ceramics before, I had to find out which type of object I enjoyed making the most. At first I was focused on making mugs/cylinders, but after trying out plates for the first time, I preferred that. The inspiration for my art show was that I like watching sports, so I thought I would glaze my favorite sports team(s) onto them. While creating my plates, I coned up and down much more than when I was making cylinders because I became better at it and more patient. This allowed the rest of the process to be much easier. After more practice, I got better at finding the best thickness for a plate, so that I wouldn't go all the way through the bottom. I am happy with my results so far because I keep getting better and I think my plates look the way I envisioned.
